Shankar is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Partners. Prior to Gateway, Shankar was CEO – Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas and a member of the global board of Standard Chartered PLC. Previously he was CEO of BA Asia and Head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific at Bank of America. Shankar is non-executive director of Dangote Cement PLC (Nigeria), Vision Blue Resources (Guernsey), Fund for Export Development in Africa (a subsidiary of African Export-Import Bank) (Rwanda), and Dangote Industries Limited (Nigeria). He holds a BSc in Physics from Loyola College in Chennai and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.
